Queenstown Sec School looking for Div 3 JG coach urgently posted on October 12, 2009, 12:27:07 AM
3. Contact the schools and arrange for an interview with the teachers or former coach. During the discussion, make sure you find out what the expectations for you are. Discuss scheduling and rates, and (if you want to) document these so that there is no misunderstanding in future. 1. This quiz is designed to familiarise you (the coach) with the specific debate format that is used in most competitions in Singapore. Some competitions have their own rulebooks and deviate from this norm, and as a coach, you are expected to be familiar with the rules so that you can teach your students the correct way. It is not compulsory. However, it is a useful test for you to show your future employer (the teacher-in-charge) that you are competent and familiar with the Singapore debate rules. 2. You can sit for the quiz as many times as you like. The intent of this test is for familiarity with the rules, not to signal which are the "highest scoring" coaches or to ask for better pay because of your score. The results are available online, so you can refer to the answers after you are done. Try to take the test without looking at the answers first, and then re-take it again if you want to improve your familiarity with the rules. 3. The Coach's Quiz. < coming soon> 4. The Answer Sheet.
